SQL function to Split the String by Delimiter and insert into a table variable






CREATE FUNCTION [dbo].[Split] (@String varchar(MAX), @Delimiter char(1))      
returns @temptable TABLE (items varchar(MAX))      
as

    declare @slice varchar(max)      

    select @idx = 1

USE THIS FUNCTION HERE:


SET @Values=(select top 1 ALLkeywords from @temp)

SELECT LTRIM(RTRIM(items)) FROM [dbo].[Split] (@Values, ',') 


@Values contains the keywords with commas

Split a String by Multiple Characters C#



 string words = "This is a list of words, with: a bit of punctuation \tand a tab character.";

        string[ ] splitArray = words.Split(new Char[ ] { ' ', ',', '.', ':', '\t'},StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries);

                                             


Here,

"StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries"  is used removes the spaces.

We will Get the splitted words in the array "splitArray"
